Preparation for Installation

Ensure sufficient air exhaust at the refrigerator base and at the back wall. Do not cover air vent openings. Check that the floor can support the fully loaded refrigerator.

Location Requirements

Allow clearance to the right, left, back, and top when installing. This helps to reduce power consumption. Do not install the refrigerator in a place with temperatures lower than 10°C.

Initial Setup

Keep the distance between the refrigerator and the freezer about 5~7mm. Remove the front leg cover on both the refrigerator and the freezer by removing the screws.

Troubleshooting

The Samsung R Z** Refrigerator has some known problems that occur often. Here are some easy to do solutions for the problems or error codes your Samsung might be giving you.

Child Lock Activated

The Child Lock function is engaged, preventing any changes to the control panel settings. To deactivate, press the Child Lock button for 3 seconds. The indicator will turn off, and the panel will be unlocked.

Door Alarm

The refrigerator door has been left open for more than 2 minutes. Ensure the door is properly closed to deactivate the alarm. Press the Alarm button to turn off the alarm function if desired.

Power Cool Activated

The Power Cool function is active, rapidly decreasing the refrigerator's temperature. Press the Power Cool button again to deactivate the function. It will automatically deactivate after 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Installation Requirements

Ensure sufficient air exhaust at the refrigerator base and at the back wall of the refrigerator. Allow clearance to the right, left, back, and top when installing. This will help reduce power consumption and keep your energy bills lower.

Temperature Settings

The refrigerator temperature can be set between 1°C and 7°C. The default temperature is 3°C. To set the desired temperature, press the Fridge button, and the temperature will change in the following order and display the desired temperature.

Vacation Function

Activate the Vacation function by pressing the Vacation button. The refrigerator will set the temperature to 15°C to minimize power consumption while you are away. The function deactivates automatically if you select the Power Cool function or adjust the temperature.

Child Lock Function

Deactivate the Child Lock function by pressing the Child Lock button again for 3 seconds. This feature ensures safety by preventing unintended use of the controls.

Side by Side Installation

For side-by-side arrangements, it is recommended to place the fridge on the right for best performance. Allow appropriate clearance and install spacers as provided in the installation kit for a perfect finish.
